It’s the middle of the night. Somewhere. What are you listening to?

I ended here up here, at Junior Parker’s flawless cover of “Tomorrow Never Knows,” after researching Beatles licensing in movies. There are shockingly few original versions used due to the prohibitive cost (and other politics?). I was reading up on that topic because I watched “Pirate Radio” earlier in the night and while The Stones, The Kinks and The Who were well represented, the fab four were zero sum. And upon pondering that I was reminded that “Baby You’re A Rich Man” was used recently in, of all movies, “The Social Network.” Potentially gratuitous spending, and, rather hilariously apt. (I won’t delve into the Beatles on iTunes saga, but that backstory is a rather fabled tale of Apples).

But back to the song of this post: When I stumbled upon it in this post, I didn’t even know it was included in one of my favorite movies, “Children of Men.” Tempted to Google it, but for once, I’m enjoying not knowing. I also need sleep, or today will never have the chance to become tomorrow.
